Nanjing Vocational University of Industry Technology

Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology (NIIT) is one of the oldest institutions of higher vocational education in China. Its origin can be traced back to 1918, when it was founded as Zhonghua Vocational School by Mr. Huang Yanpei, an outstanding democratic revolutionary, social activist and educationist in modern China.

NIIT consists of three campuses: Zhongshan campus, Tiantang campus and Xianlin campus, covering a construction area of nearly 400,000 square meters. It has 13,000 full-time students, with the teaching and science research apparatus and instruments valued up to a total amount of 147 million Yuan. There is a collection of nearly 1 million books in the college library. NIIT is made up of 10 principal academic units: School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Energy and Electrical Engineering, School of Economic and Business Management, School of IT and Software, School of Art Design, School of Humanity and Science, including majors of Japanese and Korean, School of International Education, School of Continuing Education, Department of Social Science and Department of Physical Education. It has 17 specialty groups comprised of 48 specialty orientations, and 3 national training bases.
